- VTI is a fund consisting of the entire US market weighted by capitalization.
- VXUS is the Vanguard Total International fund which consists of stocks from around the world outside of the US.
- VT is vanguards total world ETF which holds stocks weighted by market cap. from all over the world. The US is 45%, the rest of the world 55%.
1) VT utilizes FTSE index methodology while VXUS and VTI is MSCI and
2) The combination of VTI and VXUS would give you broader exposure because they have exposure to domestic and international small-cap which VT lacks.
